I’m Nicola, an artist, sailor, retreat host and coach working between my studio in North Queensland, Australia and a 35-foot sailboat.

My artwork is inspired by nature, the ocean and landscapes from my travels and sailing adventures. I like to use a variety of materials including watercolour and oils to create my paintings, which often draw from my love of islands and the ocean.

In recent years I’ve focused on using watercolours in my sketchbooks and found they're the perfect place to experiment, play and capture coastal scenes. Being compact and easily portable, watercolours satisfy my love of painting Plein air.
